Hi, Dr KM Consultant Neurologist Medico-Legal expert from Medico-Legal & Neuroscience Partnership here to tell you a little bit about myself.
I am a Consultant Neurologist specialising in Acute Neurology, Dementia, Delirium & Cognitive Disorders. My current position is Consultant Neurologist and I currently hold my position at the St Georges Hospital in London. I have acted as the clinical lead for Delirium at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (2018 & 2020) and served as its past medical lead for Consent (2019-2020).
I graduated from Medical School in 2000 and obtained MRCP (London) in 2007. In terms of specialist qualifications, I gained the Specialist Certificate in Neurology in 2011, completing my Neurology Training in London, leading to specialist registration in 2016. In 2016, I obtained an MD, from Brighton and Sussex Medical School, for original research in neurodegenerative dementia.
I have been producing Medico-Legal reports for the court for both Claimant and Defence cases as well as Legal Aid and Clinical Negligence matters. Within the scope of clinical neurology, I have sub-specialist interests in Acute Neurology and Cognitive Disorders. I have been published in peer-reviewed journals within both these areas of sub-specialist expertise. For my Medico-Legal work I can assess patients by Home visits, Prison visits and Weekend visits.
The focus of my clinical practice is General Neurology, which encompasses the assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and management of all central and peripheral nervous system disorders.
