Hello, Mr PF Orthopaedic Trauma Foot and Ankle Surgeon here. I work as an Orthopaedic Trauma Consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital which serves as the Major Trauma Centre for Birmingham and the surrounding region. I specialise in complex lower limb trauma including peri-articular fractures, foot and ankle trauma, orthoplastic injuries and post-traumatic limb reconstruction. A significant proportion of my practice involves the use of circular fixators for both acute and delayed trauma reconstruction as well as the management of post-traumatic and elective foot and ankle conditions.
Prior to this I was the Limb Reconstruction Fellow in Bristol. The majority of the workload was in acute trauma and post-traumatic reconstruction using both internal and external fixation particularly circular frames. For the last 3 months of this fellowship I worked as a locum consultant. This was followed by further fellowship training in elective and trauma foot and ankle surgery at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield.
