Hello, Dr ZA Consultant Respiratory Physician UK Wide here from Medico-Legal and Neuroscience Partnership. I am a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the City and Sandwell General Hospital. I am working as a substantive consultant along with 8 other consultants. Duties include 3 clinics per week including Lung cancer, Sleep & NIV and general respiratory clinic. Also, involved in weekly bronchoscopy and pleural procedures. I am a Named Educational and clinical supervisor for foundation and CMT trainees.
I have gained substantial experience in the management of asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and interstitial lung disease patients of varying complexity, both on the wards and in the specialist clinics. I have a good understanding of the holistic multidisciplinary approach required in this group of patients and have worked closely with the community team, specialist nurses and GP in providing patient centered individualized management plans for these patients.
I Attended Lung transplant pre-assessment clinics, post assessment clinics, ITU ward rounds at Queen Elizabeth hospital. Have done BTS lung transplant module and completed WPBA. Also, attended lung transplant courses during ERS conferences. I also attended several Thoracic surgical clinics and attended Thoracic surgical list at Heartlands Hospital.
Alongside my duties as a Consultant Respiratory Physician I have been taking on medico-legal reporting since 2018 to provide an opinion of a Consultant Respiratory Physician to the Court. I have been working with the team at Medico-Legal and Neuroscience Partnership who have been a huge help with my report writing. My areas of expertise stretch across the following:
