Hi Dr CC Consultant Psychiatrist London & UK Wide from Medico-Legal and Neuroscience Partnership. I have been a fulltime NHS consultant since 2006 employed by NHS Foundation Trust. I work in an inner-city area with high rates of severe and complex mental illness. It is an inner–city area that is very diverse in terms of socio-economic background, ethnicity and population change.
I studied at Trinity College Dublin and trained in psychiatry in St. Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin, and in East London. I have been working in psychiatry for 20 years and have been a consultant for 10 years. I have training and experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in the fields of general adult psychiatry, liaison psychiatry (mental health and physical health) and addictions.
I am an independent consultant psychiatrist in the fields of general adult psychiatry, liaison and neuropsychiatry, and addictions psychiatry. I have a special interest in forensic psychiatry. I also have a Masters in Clinical Neuropsychiatry (2019), and a Masters in the Clinical and Public Health Aspects of Addictions (2005), both from King’s College London/Institute of Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital, London.
I began my medico-legal experience and training in 2012. I currently carry out medico-legal assessments on a fulltime basis, and therefore I can offer short waiting and turnaround times for assessments and reports respectively. The percentage ratio of claimant, defendant and joint is 50%:40%:10%. I work with the team at SM Legal Services to make sure my reports are up to court standard.
