I have been providing dentolegal advice and dental reports (personal injury and clinical negligence) to the UK courts independently since 2011. Additionally, I have been associated with Apollonia Dentolegal Ltd (2016-2023) and Expert Court Reports (since 2022). I gained a Master’s degree in medicolegal studies in 2010. The curriculum included a module in Tort law and Expert Witness work; My dissertation focused on researching causation issues in dental negligence cases.
The majority of my dentolegal work involves personal injury cases (condition and prognosis). I only accept clinical negligence cases (breach of duty, causation, condition, and prognosis) depending on my time availability. I work in surgery nearly every day and currently accept around 24 reports annually.
My claimant/defendant/joint ratio for clinical negligence cases is 75:25:0.
My claimant/defendant ratio for personal injury cases is 100:0
I attended several conferences with opposing experts and barristers, and all the cases I have been instructed in have been settled out of court. To date, I have never had to attend court.
